Hi. I'm just testing to see if anything can be seen here by anyone but me. It's been five years since circumstances forced me to abandon this blog, and I'm still not in a place to add to it. Still, now I know it's still here I'd like to salvage the thing rather than start over. My circumstances will be changing again within the next few months and I hope to have the time to begin talking about movies again. I'm partway through the process of restoring this place.
This is what I do. It's amateur work. There are spoilers in many of these. I'd love to be making money by doing something I love, but honestly this is just for fun.
The name Sinister Simian (I'm known as Simian Jack and Jacques the Monkey here and there online) is a nod to the late Sinister Cinema from KATU in Portland, Oregon, which similarly inspired the name of the home-video company. There's also a character named Sinister Simian from a cartoon or video game, but I'm not familiar with it.
